Strawberry Milkshake

This classic strawberry milkshake with whipped cream and a sprinkling of granola on top is a delicious and nutritious liquid snack that satisfies and energizes. Feel free to substitute the strawberries with your preference of fresh or frozen fruit.

STEP ONE – Preparations

  1. Get out a blender.
  2. Get out a tall cup and a paper straw.

STEP TWO – Blend the Ingredients


1 cup of milk
1 cup of vanilla ice cream
½ cup of fresh or frozen strawberries


  1. Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until it’s a smooth consistency.
  2. If you’re using fresh strawberries, add a few ice cubes to keep the shake thick.
  3. Add any toppings you desire. We enjoy ours with homemade whipped cream and granola.


  1. In a stand mixer, add ½ cup of whipping cream and whip on high until stiff peaks form. This takes about a minute.
  2. Add a touch of powdered sugar.


STEP ONE – Preparations

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  2. Cover a large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Get out a large mixing bowl and a small mixing bowl.

STEP TWO – Bake the Granola


1 ½ cups of old-fashioned oats
⅛ cup of brown sugar
¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
⅛ cup of liquid sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or agave nectar)
⅛ cup of canola or extra-virgin olive oil
½  teaspoon of sea salt


  1. In the large mixing bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. In the small mixing bowl, combine the liquid sweetener, oil, and salt.
  3. Add the liquid ingredients to the large bowl and mix well to combine.
  4. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes until the granola is golden-brown.

Recommended serving size: 1 milkshake with 1 tablespoon of whipped cream and ¼ cup of granola
